Online Pack with Data Plan
Just had an email that my online pack with data plan expires in March, after only 12 months of ownership, and it is £120 to renew for year 2. Apart from the fact that 12 months service seems incredibly stingy for a new vehicle in this class, what exactly will stop working and what will continue to work if I don't renew?
If I am reading it correctly, I only lose the online weather in Pivi, and the Alexa functionality. Neither of these are important to me, although the weather pane is usually on display.
On the other hand the remote start and vehicle status in the app, and pivi navigation are important to me, Am I correct that these will continue to function?
It doest really seem that this pack does much to justify its cost, especially as there is almost always a phone hooked up via CarPlay. I do prefer the vehicles own navigation though, but that seems to be entirely separate from this data pack.

If I wanted to renew mine I'd first have to contact a dealership to remove the previous owner's details...at an additional cost... before I even paid to set the LR on board options up. Needless to say, I didn't bother since I get all the useful functions like navigation, weather and practically everything else from my phone via Android auto (or Apple car play).
I also have a remote Webasto FBH for the really cold days up here in the frozen north so remote start isn't really needed.
The LR software is an optional extra for sure and nice to have...but a needless one in my opinion due to the functionality via your phone when connected...it all depends on what functions you deem necessary...or not
