Help! Getting Movies to Play on Land Rover InControl (2017 H
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me get some movies working on the rear entertainment system in my 2017 Land Rover HSE Lux with InControl. I want to put them on a USB stick, but I'm not sure what settings to use when I convert the files.
The manual says the system plays lots of different types of video (MPEG1, MPEG2, WMV9, VC-1, H.264, H.263, MPEG4 ASP, RAW, VP6, and VP8). It also says to keep the video resolution at 1080p or lower for the best picture.
I'm using a program called Handbrake to convert the movies, and I'm planning on using H.264.
I also saw something in the manual that confused me - it says the *speed* of the USB 3.0 drive might affect how well the videos play (see attached image). Would a USB 2.0 drive actually be *better* in this case? Or should I stick with USB 3.0?
Basically, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for:
* Simple Handbrake settingsthat will work well with InControl. What settings should I change?
* Which USB drive to use:Is USB 3.0 okay, or should I try a USB 2.0 drive instead?
* Anything else I should know to get this working.
