Have you tried the 3M Dual Lock?
It’s like a plastic Velcro and sticks very well.

Take a look, see what you think, it is very good. I have some that I erm…..erm……..obtained from a previous employer.😳
If you only need a bit let me know, or can send you a piece if you’d like to try it out.
It sticks to itself so If you buy 1 metre, you’ll get 500mm of Velcro.

    thanks for suggestion Wink
would that velcro plastic thing stick to the liners, upholstery thing or do you stick the adhesive ? and if its the adhesive, have you tried to remove it without permanent damage?

I’m still not 100% certain what it you’re trying to stick to.
If you PM me your address I’ll stick you some in the post and you can at least try it. It is very sticky, I use it to attach my rear number plate.😃

Welp, that was a turn up for the books...Mrs Mole made me buy the modular boot mod...seemingly, she's developed a rabid dislike of retractable load covers and has always hated the fact I've never taken it out and shoved it in the garage Shocked

Now on a slow boat from China...I'll post step by step fitting pics as I install it along with an honest review when it gets here. Mr. Green

For the D5...I got one of these things from Ebay. Which was fine until I realised I've got rear air con and the bag didn't have a recess to fit in to Rolling Eyes

    Storage Bag Linky

I still use it for the same purpose..but now it's just shoved up against the back of the 2nd row seats...(with all the pliers and screwdrivers fitted to it)

How does this recess bag stay put - it is velcro fitted to the side wall or just freestanding?

It has several adhesive velcro strips on the back...although even free standing, the bottom of the bag is broad enough so it doesn't topple over.

I haven't used the velcro strips since I don't have the recess in the boot that the bag is designed to fit in....but even being free standing where I've put it, it's never once toppled over, even after bouncing around off-road. Considering all those pliers, snips and screwdrivers plus a can of WD40 is a fair bit of weight to hang off the front of the bag...

I suspect that even just pushed into the recess without sticking the adhesive velcro strips on, it wouldn't be falling out of there...
