Online builder vs. dealer vs. manufacturer system pricing
Hi all,
i have just put an order in for a Firenze Red D5 HSE Luxury TDV6 with most options available to Canada.
When i built it on the Land Rover Canada website i got a price of 93,005$CAD + Additional costs (PDI, Freight etc)
When my dealership sent me a quote i got a price of 93,605$CAD + additional costs.
Then i was sent a screen grab of the manufacturer system's order form and the price was 93,930$CAD + additional costs.
I have double checked the options and all seems the same apart from the dealer added Emergency Braking on the manufacturer system's order. A 125$ difference.
How can all three systems be off by so much and has anyone else noticed this when ordering ?

looking at my invoice the following are all dealer options`; tinted glass, TAG, freight , prep, admin fee, tyre tax, air tax. Not sure if that clarifies anything for you

Additional costs = dealer add ons, freight, PDI, admin fee, tire tax, etc.
Dealer add ons and fees are 3000$ or so.
I am talking about the set price for the vehicle and the options i have chosen.
The prices i have given are the MSRP+options.

Ahhh got it.
At least one of the option packs is somewhat odd 072AC is the cold climate pack and has heated seats ,steering wheel and washer jets, the heated windscreen is separate (040AK). I wonder if the basic build program is country specific or a generic one?

I have been waiting since Monday for a reply from the sales director at my dealership about this and he just rang me up now.
The difference between the dealer quote and the website he says is down to an included dealer fee bla bla bla. I didn't feel like arguing as he did not understand what i was trying to tell him and he's given me a rebate that covers more than that 600$ difference, so i'll let it slide.
The reason why there is such a difference with the manufacturers system is firstly, the added Emergency Braking system which the sales director added but forgot to tell me, that for 125$ it was worth the safety feature and he thought i would not mind it. Which i don't.
The other 800$ that is out of place is from the option 033VN - Seat Pack 5 - Mem 16x16 Massage Windsor.
This option is NOT available to Canada and is linked to the Luxury pack in the Manufacturer System.
So when he removes it, it also removes the Luxury pack and something else i cannot recall.
They have contacted the manufacturer and they are working on it.
Once that 800$ option is removed, the MSRP from the website and the manufacturers System will be the same.
So that explains it all. Bloody system glitches and or gremlins. hahahahahahaha

can you please explain? My HSE Lux (Canada) is pretty loaded and around the same price as yours. Are you saying the massage seats are not available? Or are you saying they are built into one of the Paks and therefore you're gonna end up paying a bit less?

If you took the 7 Seat Climate Comfort Pack then you have massage seats. I believe that is the only way to get massage seats in Canada. I did not notice it elsewhere.
After some online searching i found a list of all the options and Seat Pack 5 is part of the 7 Seat Climate Comfort Pack.
Dealership says the 033VN option does not exist in their system and is not on their price list. It only comes as part of the 7 Seat pack in Canada, on the HSE Luxury. So it's a software glitch that adds the individual price of the 033VN option when in fact it's part of a bigger pack.
I will not pay less as it's the dealer that has to pay the manufacturer. I will pay according to the dealer quote i accepted. They have to deal with the glitch, not me.
