Manual Towbar socket mount
Strange that I don't think I have seen this mentioned before.
I have a manual deployable towbar with the 13 pin electrics. When the plug socket is lowered for use (it's usually tucked up behind the valance), it only comes down enough to enable the cover to open, i.e. no more that 90 degrees. There is not enough clearance for the plug to locked into place by the twist/bayonet action as the flat surface on the plug hits the socket cover. To get over this, I have had to remove the socket and fix it upside down. This allows the socket flap to be opened past the 90 degree point and anables the plug to be twisted into position.
I have reported this to my dealer who has taken photos but as usual, there has been no follow up.
Have others noticed this?
