    Digital TV / Dual View Screen.

    Can anyone please help me before I finalise my order. Have asked my salesman and he is not 100 % sure.
    So I thought why not get an answer straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

    Has anyone got the Digital TV installed?
    If so, whilst the vehicle is in motion, can the front seat passenger watch the TV, or is it just a blank screen as I suspect, as in the D4, albeit rear seat passengers can still view the TV ?

    Secondly, I gather whilst the vehicle is fully stationary, that both driver and front seat passenger can view the TV ?

    Thirdly if you add the Dual View option, I know the passenger will be able too view the TV/DVD whilst the vehicle is in motion. However will the driver still be able too see the TV whilst the car is stationary?? I suspect not, due too the way the dual view screen has been set up?

    I know that there is a DVD in motion lead that overrides this, which is alot cheaper than having too fork out the £700 odd for the dual view. It's a catch 22 if I order the dual view and I can't watch the TV whilst stationary,

    (It's handy when the Mrs kicks me out the house. At least I can watch the football or boxing in peace, whilst she watches her soaps) Rolling with laughter

    With dual view the passenger can watch tv and the driver will see the infotainment system and not the tv. This is standard on all recent Lr dual view systems

    I have ordered the duel view and the TV and was told that it does indeed work for the passenger on the move. My Lux also has the rear screens so SWMBO and kids will be sorted while I'm sat in a queue on a he M5!

    Yes as you said the front passenger can view the TV /DVD whilst on the move, only if you have dual view.

    Without dual view the front passenger cannot view the TV or Dvd, whilst on the move, only the rear passengers.

    I have just found out something astonishing this evening. The dual view can actually be deactivated via the press of a button, and when the car is stationary, the driver can also watch the TV / DVD. I was under the assumption that it would not be possible due too the 'trick screen set up' but I have been assured 100 % that it can be deactivated via the infotainment screen.

    That's a major bonus as I can now catch up with the latest News or Sport whilst having a Macdonalds Laughing

    Having issues, as tried too watch the TV when sitting in front passenger seat over the weekend. After hitting the dual view button, it's coming up with a 'Not Available' message. TV broadcast can be seen by the driver though, when stationary. Rear screens are fine as well. Not tried it with a Dvd yet, but all was working fine before the last software update. Any recalls on Topix? Thanks.
