Solid frost this morning, heated windscreen on and blowers, everything worked a treat. So all seems well.
Have you tried it with just the heated screen on to check both sides are working?

Yes, tried that this evening, windscreen cleared no problems.
I’m assuming it was just thicker ice on that part of the windscreen.

My D5 HSE obviously is blessed with the imaginary LR heated windscreen, because it doesn’t work! The D5 might one day be capable once they finish it! The D5 is not my best ever decision but hopefully they’ll resolve the numerous issues/foibles it has in my lifetime!
Equally at fault is the windscreen max blower setting which seems to prefer the LHS and takes an eternity to unfog/defrost the RHS. I spent 10 minutes last night waiting for the windscreen to clear and noticed that airflow on the RHS of the windscreen is negligible compared to the LHS which was slightly better. However compared to my many previous D3/D4s which used to defog/defrost the windscreen in seconds, the D5 once again is nowhere near a match,
I remember seeing some D5 marketing about optimal computer simulated airflow, but this obviously didn’t make it into the D5 because it’s crap! and the worst of any car that I’ve had. How often do the side windows fog up, we know the windscreen clear is rubbish and too be honest it should be far better. Even without the doggies I have in the boot, the car still easily and quickly fogs up.

One thing I’ve noticed is the windscreen fogs pretty bad on this thing compared to the 4. Forever cleaning it.

On my car, switching from auto heating to manual control turns off all the vents, so I have to remember to turn back on top demisting vent.
Informed the dealers but they seemed to think this is ok.
