Hi,
Spoke to my Dealer yesterday to beat down a deal on accessories and wheel & tyre insurance.
He told me that LR haven't released any details of service packs yet but....he's off to a Dealer training event on D5 @ Eastnor on Monday so he's going to grill the factory trainers.
He's also shown his finance director the work I did on "packs" to show how you can buy EXACTLY the same car 5 different ways at 5 different prices! - Barking!
Will pass on intel (if I can) when I get it - the Dealer sales manager is a good friend so I have to be careful (for his sake).

Hi,
From the handbook:-
2.0D is 24 months or 34,000km (23,000mls by my maths)
3.0D is 12 months or 26,000km (17,000 mls by my maths).
Assuming a 2.0 has 2 x BIG services in 5yrs and a 3.0D would have 3 x small and 2 x BIG in the same period I reckon:-
A. The prices should differ "by engine".
B. The prices will have to be good to be VfM for the 2.0D.

Hi guys is there anyone else on here who has a First Edition in Farallon Black on order??? Not happy as delivery is now in 2 weeks time. Was told definately 1st March. Dealer has 3 orange and 1 grey all first editions in the workshop for customers, which were ordered after mine but no black. They have had my deposit since March 3rd last year. Absolutely fuming as mine has been on priority for 2 weeks plus but still not moved from the compound, and LR are not telling the dealer why???. Am on the verge of cancelling!!!! Only seems too be a problem with the Black colour. Now am having too put Road tax and insurance and mot on my current car, due to land rovers inacuraccy, leaving me further out of pocket. Could not run a bath or catch a cold if they tried. Useless 😥

I've got a 1st Edition in Fallon Black on order. I have had a deposit on it for 2 years, yes that's right 2 years. I was certaintly the dealers first deposit by a long way. Anyway I too am getting vague answers from my dealer re delivery. It was due this week but now saying LR are struggling organising transport so more likely next week. Plus I'm having a dealer installed electronically deployed tow bar so they need another 2 days for an install after arrival! Will keep you posted on mine , please do the same.

Thanks for that. Thats ridiculous accumulating 2 years worth of interest on your deposit and still no delivery date. It's a shambles. You should definately have been at the top of the delivery status. I have been fobbed off with too many cars being rushed too be completed. LR should have taken extra staff on plus how difficult is it too hire a few extra transporters for a week or so. No wonder the company was on its knees until Tata, India took over the reins and put it back on the map. Just seems like they are not bothered about customers. Only bothered about their bonuses.
Have you also come across the MISSING TV from the builder as the First Edition was advertised as having a TV and now it's been omitted albeit still the same price.

Hope they have an electronically deployable one in stock as they are currently on back order

i did not ever see TV mentioned when i ordered my first edition? Where did you see that?

The TV was on the UK LR website during Nov and Dec. After the new year it was mysteriously ommitted, albeit no price drop. The First Edition was locked out as it came kitted with all the toys, plus TV could not be ordered seperately unlike the Hse Luxury

Maybe a daft question, but what use is rear seat entertainment (standard on the FE) without the TV? Sometimes, the kids might not want to watch a DVD......

There are HDMI inputs so in theory you could add apple TV, Amazon firestick, even a digital tuner..
But it does also seem a bit daft not to have TV and also not to enable it to be added.
