Rear seat entertainment
Well that was my thoughts. I cant see the rear seat passengers staring at the Sat Nav during a 3 hour journey, plus people may not want too watch a Dvd like you said. It's defeats the purpose in my opinion. Also seems silly that you can spec the HSE/ HSE LUX with a TV, but not the Range Topping First Edition.
I suppose you can connect an xbox or nintendo or playstation too the rear screens. Thats is what am planning too do. New Nintendo Switch is launched tomorrow, so am pretty confident it will be the only First Edition with a brand new console in it

Tv
Plus LR has told me to take it up with the dealer about no TV tuner and also with regards too delivery misinformation. I should get compensation for all the inconvenience I have been caused, ie retaxing my car, insurance and new mot all for the sake of 1 or 2 extra weeks. If I had received the car yesterday I would not have had too shell out all that extra money 💵. Mind you I have taken the TV tuner out of the D4 so fingers crossed it will fit in the D5. Simply plug and play, but am not too keen butchering a brand new dashboard though.

Not sure its the dealers fault if LR dont advertise on their website correctly

Whos at fault??
Well that was my take on it also. It's not as if the dealer makes the car in their workshop, as they are merely agents. This was headoffice trying too blame the dealer saying it was the point of sale malarkey. Dealer blaming LR who I blame also - amounts too false advertising imo. Am not holding up much hope, but I am not the only one on the forum who has noticed this problem and complained about it.

So the First Ed online brochure is still stating Rear Seat Entertainment is standard fit:

I had assumed this meant TVs. Does it mean something else then??? Otherwise I think you've got a pretty good case under the Consumers Rights Act 2015 which states "The goods supplied must match any description given to you"

LR have a built-in get out clause regarding specification and equipment levels in all of their brochures. It's inside the back cover of the 124 page brochure for the New Discovery.

Car specifications
Hi Craig, it's a long story. I initially went through all 5 models with a fine toothcomb so too say, as soon as they came online on the builder last November.
Took me a whole week too work out what was what. Initially settled on an Hse. However by the time I specced it up the price it was the same as the Hse Luxury, so I opted for that instead. Both cars I added the Dual View screen and digital TV at a cost of £1500. However by the time the Hse was specced up it was well over £70 k. I received a call from my dealer saying they had all 3 first editions colours in stock at £68 k plus. So I thought I may as well have an exclusive limited edition with more goodies than the Hse Luxury like the wristband/ tailgate feature, TV, 22 inch alloys and Farallon Black paint which was a £1600 extra option, plus other bits n pieces as standard, as worked out cheaper, and I saved a few quid in the process. Why have silver if you can have gold for a lesser premium I thought ?
The First Edition clearly showed it had a TV tuner. I still have the specification showing this. Now it's been ommitted but still same price. Even LR head office is puzzled and can't figure it out. Accused me of being on a foreign website. I was in the dealers showroom looking at it Anyway the First Edition was all but locked out as it had all the accessories as standard hence the price hike of 6/7 k over the Hse Luxury. As it clearly stated it came with a TV, the TV option could not be added. Only after Xmas was it unlocked and only then I could add the tow bar mudflaps and roofrails. Even if you go online now there is a limited option too what accessories can be added. Well am not happy, as already had the TV tuner in my wifes D4 Hse Luxury. You can spec the HSE and Hse Luxury with a TV and not the First Edition range topper?? LR now saying it's a licencing issue. I even said I would reluctantly pay £1500 too have it fitted as my car was still on the production line. Well I wish I had stuck with the HSE LUXURY and saved 7k odd. I hope this answers your query 
Ps am not sure but I only think the first editions have been released so far, as I know a few people on here have taken delivery 2 days ago. Don't quote me on it though, as possibly Hse and Hse Luxury have been delivered too there owners also.
