alas... no help required. wheels were wrong.... you would have thought i would be a simple swap/replace. oh no no no... as mine were 20's and the car is currently sitting on 21's... there's a little more too it. As such... i'm not going to get it to next week

Is the issue that it came from from factory or is there something else?
Cos i’m already looking at getting some spare 22” they have at the dealers from another car (Range Rover i think) & i’d have thought it’s a matter of just swapping them..

I thought it would’ve been a straight swap. Providing the dealer had a brand new car sitting with correct wheels you wanted.

I was, as was my sales guy, under the impression it was a straight swap... however, lead technician explained there was a bunch of data they need to transfer between the donor car (with 20" wheels) and mine (21"). Kinda makes sense, else all the MPH, MPG Calcs etc will be off... plus the TPMS sensors need to sync.
just hope this isn't a sign of things to come... i guess i was pushing my luck being built the last Friday before Xmas (22nd)

I thought that the 20’s and 21’s would be about the same rolling circumference as the 21’s are a lower profile than the 20’s, thus negating the need for recalibration. I don’t suppose this needs to be done if changing to winter wheels and tyres which tend to be smaller with higher profile tyres.
There is also the small matter of how much the car has cost you. You just don’t expect things like this to go wrong white a premium brand like LR.

Lemme, you should have just stuck with the 21's mate as these are usually more expensive than the 20's.
(Unless they were the wrong colour or a design you did not like)

I just hope they have not messed up other extras on your car so too speak, as it will take away the shine of getting a new car

I went from 19” to 21” and just stuck them on.
I’ve always took the car on it’s standard rims and swapped them at a later date for the ones I want at a fraction of LRs cost.

I think some one is pulling you p***** they are the same rolling circumference and are a straight swap. Perhaps the dealerships workshop was a bit busy and they did not have a technician available to swap them

i did wonder if they were pulling my leg... suspect Russell is right and they were busy.
would have stuck with the 21's had they been the right colour... alas they were silver and I ordered the black 5011's.
In fairness to the sales guy, he offered me a loaner for the week (keen to get me into the brand)... as i still have access to my current two vehicles, and i am limited on parking space, i declined and offered to wait. Fingers crossed he can sort something today...

if i get to swap mine i shall let you know what these guys here say. if it's the same rolling circumference then there shouldn't be a need to update anything... i'd have guessed

Good news... picked up the car yesterday
i'll post some pics today/tomorrow...
ps. new cluster display is awesome... also, they appear to have ironed out the issues with the auto-full-beam.... worked flawlessly this morning.
