    Middle row seat folding and effect on passenger

    Hi guys

    I wonder if any of you can help. Have been using the car quite a bit recently to transport stuff so have been using all rear seats folded. When I fold the middle seats down using the button in the boot, the passenger seat folds forward to allow this, but doesn’t then fold back into position when they are flat. If however I unfold them with pass seat upright, the pass seat folds forward and then folds back into position.

    This is a bit of a pain when I’m alone in the car as it’s tough to lean across and reset the passenger seat from the drivers side and it obscures your vision if you don’t move it.

    What am I doing wrong?

    This is how they work. Once the middle seat is unlatched and folded it won’t fold up with the other seat. If you fold both together (60% split) they will stay connected. I guess the idea is after folding the middle seat you may want it to remain folded for long loads even if you return the other seat upright.

    I may have confused things. I mean when I fold the whole middle row, the front passenger seats folds toward (a bit) but doesn’t return when the seats have finished folding. This means I have to manually adjust the position of the front passenger seat. Any clues?

    Ah. Yes they do that. Sometimes they return sometimes not. Same happens when you press the 2nd row seat buttons to partially fold them to enter row three. Front seats move forward so you can slide the row two seats futuehr for better row three access. When you slide them back and return the row two seat to normal, the front seats sometimes won’t fully come back to where they were.

    Not had this issue using the boot button to fully fold the row two seats though.
