When I first got the D5 I used the third row of seats a couple of times, I haven’t needed them for a long time. Question is I seem to remember that if you pushed the button for the second row to go forward to let you climb into the back, I was sure the drivers seat used to move forward slightly.
Today I tried it and it never moved and the head rest on the second row hit the screen on the back of the drivers seat. Am I nuts- does the drivers seat move?
They do move forward as said but my drivers seat rarely returns to it’s prevous position. The passenger seat does every time.
I think movement is based on how far back the seat is. They move forward when folding row 2 and when accessing row three when you press the row two seat button too.

I wonder if it has lost memory of where the front seat is, so doesn't know if it needs to tip it forward.
Perhaps moving the front seat to one extreme or the other and then return in to it's memorized location will remind the car what position the front seat is in, and there for it will then know to tip the seat in order to lower the second row?
No idea if this will work, just a stab in the dark at some sort of logic.
So I just spent 45 min at the car trying to get it to move. I’m curious why it would have changed. I tried everything I could think of but still did not move. Tried moving the seats all the way back forward hight the lot no difference. Checked the memory works and it’s just fine. Tried it with the engine running stoped. Gave up now in house drinking a coffee.
