TPMS - Can it be fitted after delivery?
Hi all
I've got a MY17 d5 - today had a flat and didn't realise until now that there was no tyre warning alert.
Anyhow in digging a little I've realised in Australia that the TPMS system is an option on all D5 models! (code 062AD) - even the HSE Lux that I have.
Never even gave it a thought and am a bit annoyed!
Can TPMS be installed after delivery? No idea why it isn't standard (atleast in Australia) - seems odd.

I know it has been done on a D4 but it works out expensive and a lot of work.
Why not go for an aftermarket kit they are easy to install and relatively heap in comparison
Namib Orange 1st Edition with black roof and wheels.
Privacy, tow bar, drive pack, surround camera, heated front & rear seats, auto dim door mirrors, side steps, remote Pro, RSE, arm rest fridge dash cam front and rear.

I thought all cars had to be fitted with TPMS after a certain date ?

Best ask the service department at your local dealership.
I would assume the software part of the TPMS is unlockable by Land Rover. But i don't know if the TPMS receiver is installed if you don't opt for the TPMS from the factory.
I had aftermarket TPMS sensors installed with my winter wheels and it did not work properly with the D5's receiver and / or software. Had to purchase Land Rover sensors in the end.
Purchasing an after delivery TPMS kit from Land Rover may be expensive but at least it will be integrated into your D5's software and the in-dash display.
I don't know how aftermarket TPMS kits would, or even can, communicate with the Land Rover software.
Which means you would have an extra bit of hardware to install in your dash or center console. But i may be wrong, i have no knowledge on aftermarket TPMS kits.
Just my take on it.
Best do some research before choosing which way to go.
First call should be your LR service department.

Indeed in Australia it is an optional extra. I ticked that box when I ordered mine.
