    HERE maps - not impressed!

Downloading the latest Europe Map - the download speed reminds me of using dial-up Internet.
    Rolling with laughter

Estimated time over 5 hours ! ! ! [I have over 72Mps download speed according to Speedtest.]

Why didn't JLR go with one of the better map providers rather than HERE WeGo?
Rolling Eyes Cost probably.[say no more]

[edit] Just checked progress - it's downloaded 12% but now says 6 hours 40 minutes remaining

The maps are huge and include speech files as well, presumably in all the languages supported?
The HERE maps are good in that you can report errors and they are fixed very fast.

Have a cup of tea or something stronger, do you usually watch your paint dry? Laughing Laughing

Which provider would you rather use?

Most manufacturers use HERE, i.e. Audi, BMW, Honda, Lexus, Volvo, etc?

Well I had no such problems with Navtec or TomTom in car and Garmin on a satnav unit

It’s the first in car Nav I’ve actually used daily. Previous systems were Censored . Used TomTom app for years because of this but now it’s hardely ever used.

Map updates are very regular. Yes 24GB (on average) takes a while to download but only about 10 mins to apply to the car.
