Phase 4
How do you know if your D5 has the Phase 4” software installed?

I thought the home screen looked different, the older software has a default home screen with 4 'tiles' to click, the new one just 3 tiles next to each other.

Thanks. I had seen these references. My screens are different thus I assume I have an older version. But my D5 was only built during last week of June yet doesn’t appear to have these already released updates? Mine is also missing the spare wheel anti theft device which was released ages ago.

I guess the factory build to a spec and latest updates are not in that spec.
Register on Topix and you can see what updates are due for your car.

I just did with mine: no outstanding actions while I don’t have phase 4 yet...

Phase 4 is not mandatory along with manyl other updates.
You need to check all of them to see what is out there and then if you think it applies to a problem you have with your car.

Would take me a day... yesterday I couldn’t access the media anymore, only radio was working, all the rest visible but not working, hopefully phase 4 will solve this as well, but no idea when I can bring the car in (took a video to show to the dealer, lots of videos to watch for them!)

Does anyone know if this phase 4 software update can be applied to incontrol touch (I have a 2017 SE model)

Touch is a different system, so no it does not apply.
Check on Topix to see what is the latest version for the SE?

I asked for the phase 4 to be applied before I picked up my vehicle [20th July]
I was informed by my dealer that the Phase 4 update would only be applied if it has one of the faults outlined in the 14 page doc from LR.
Apparently, mine doesn't warrant this [yet?]
It did have the anti theft kit fitted as they gave me a copy of the worksheet/invoice.

How are you supposed to know what the faults are before you pick up the car?
Sounds like a good plan to hand over the car knowing there are faults that could be fixed!

In AU they do a 1,000km "check-up", I'll ask them to do the upgrade then. I've seen a few bugs (purple screen, lost bluetooth connection after switching source to radio, confused rear camera when switching between reverse-drive-reverse quickly) but that seems nothing compared to the issues others have had - but then I don't have the rear seat entertainment. And haven't tried inControl apps..
