    Phase 5 is ready in a month apparently, so plenty of time to enjoy the car in August Wink

    But to activate the ionisation is a different setting... on the screen with the seats and seat climate functions and massage options if I remember well

    I do have 4 zone air con, so I am not sure if it was part of that or was just standard on the UK HSE

    I don’t think it’s standard HSE. I suspect the 4 zone climate option includes it.

    One ‘interesting’ find with Phase 4 and the new Home screen.

    When a route is is being navigated and you are viewing the Home screen, the thin line under the word Navigation (in its panel) acts as a progress bar. I.E. the line is segmented and the left segment grows the further along the route you are. It’s so subtle I can’t inagine how it could be too useful. Nice touch though.

    Hi,

    thanks man for your input.

    Might I ask how to identify the 4-zone climate control?
    On my order-receipt it says "3 zones climate control (4 zones for Velar)". But I have 1st row left/right and 2nd row left/right "control wheels" to set the temperature. Nothing to set the temperature in the 3rd row though.

    Hmm,,, since we have an option called "Software Update" since Phase 4, I wonder if we need to visit our dealer to get Phase 5 or if we can update it ourselfes...

    So got my car back after having the Phase 4 upgrade done. Had a feeling that wasn't the last of it...

    Rear entertainment screens do not work correctly

    1. When trying to use the screens via the remote control, the screens switch on and off intermittently and no actions from the remote control are seen on the screens. All you see is just the home screens and nothing else. I am unable to check if the remote control is locked, due to the next point below

    2. When trying to control the rear screens from the front screen, 9 times out of 10 you get the message “Rear Media not available”

    3. Only once when I was trying it did I actually get into the rear screen menu on the front screen, however I was unable to turn the rear screens on and then the pop-up saying that the rear screens were unavailable came up


    USB media does not work correctly.

    1. When USB inserted into a port, you get multiple entries showing up on the source screen, all in different characters

    2. Have tried a number of known good USB’s in case the USB was corrupt, still have the same issue so its not the USB

    3. Have tried all USB ports in case it was only one port that has this issue, however all do the same thing
    Only twice did the media work via a USB stick, and all that was seen was a small part of the screen

    As I said a couple of weeks back
    My dealer advises not to have phase 4 as phase 5 on the way and
    much better
    Namib Orange 1st Edition with black roof and wheels.
    Privacy, tow bar, drive pack, surround camera, heated front & rear seats, auto dim door mirrors, side steps, remote Pro, RSE, arm rest fridge dash cam front and rear.
