    Windscreen Replacement

    Picked up a chip whilst travelling in Portugal and Spain.
    When I got home I tried getting a repair done, but it was still visible following the repair, so I got the whole screen changed.
    I was fairly nervous about the prospect but these guys have done an excellent job, all credit to them and the insurance company.
    It was a genuine Land Rover replacement screen and whilst the cameras had to be re-calibrated by Land Rover, the Windscreen replacement company booked the dealer appointment and paid the invoice, in turn all picked up by the insurance company.
    Great service and a good job

    Mines in on Friday for a warranty screen replacement. Hope they leave the car without marks or damages - especially if they have to climb inside Shocked

    That's exactly what I was worried about, but thankfully these guys didn't leave any marks.
    Is your dealer subcontracting to a windscreen company or doing it in-house?
    I took the view that I'd rather have people doing it who do this stuff every day !

    When I had a D4 windscreen replaced by the local main dealer, they simply punted it to Autowindscreen. I found like you, they did a decent job, although some peps say to avoid,but what option do you have?

    Being done at the dealer by a windscreen chap that does all their screens. I'm sure it will be fine Smile

    How long did you have to wait for the screen? Mine was delivered with a chip and I'm still waiting for them to contact me to arrange an appointment. I'd heard the screens were on back order?

    Mine was also on back order but it came through in about 2 weeks.
