Downloading now.....
Worth doing as they update very quickly with any feedback they get.
I have reported 2 errors and they have been fixed in the next release after my report back.

Go here and log in with your InControl Route Planner credentials.
https://landrover.here.com/
Go to Maps and Services to get the latest map.
When you hit download it prompts you download the Map Update app. You need a USB stick (32GB or larger). Takes a while...
There are PDF instructions on how to load the map into the ICTP system.

Can you actually do it over the air as well? Or what is the ‘software update’ option for I see in Phase 4?

Software update appears to be inactive at the moment.

Puzzled. The car has a sim card in and mobile data turned on. Will it auto update the maps over the SIM or do I need to do it manually?
Seeing the size below, I am thinking that it might use a lot of data, which is probably bad. But the car can connect to the home wifi, so is there a reason not to just update over wifi? Time?
Which makes me think I am answering my own question, so if I do download to a memory stick, what do I need to do with it at the car end? Where do I best find instructions?
Sorry for being a plank!

Yes you need to download the maps to a 32GB USB stick from the Land Rover Here site.
Then you insert that USB into the car and it will automatically start the map update.

There are PDF instructions on how to load the map into the ICTP system.
The instructions referred to are available to view from within the updater. Just follow the prompts when you click on 'Get Latest Version' once you are logged into your online inControl Route Planner at https://landrover.here.com and select the tab 'Maps & Services'
It has to be done from a memory stick as it is not available as an over the air update. The ignition must be on during the 20 minutes or so that the update takes but you can drive around while it is updating. All explained in the instructions. First time I did it the whole thing failed and I had to do it again but this update went fine. The system is fault tolerant so it can cope with interruptions and failed updates etc.
