    Always wanted to find out why am I missing out the mesh netting, but it does look nice too.

    You aren’t missing anything. Depends on the model.

    You could buy some inserts, Tatbay has plenty non LR ones at a fraction of the price. Personally I think it looks fine. Thumbs Up

    Now I know why I couldn't spot another D5 without the mesh because I'm the only SD4 HSE D5 in my country. Rolling Eyes

    Yup. 2L has open holes you can see right through. 3L doesn’t. Maybe it’s an airflow thing ?

    2017 Discovery Td6 HSE Silicon Silver

    The 3L Td6 has a closed "mesh look" on the driver's left-hand lower intake, the driver's right-hand lower intake is an open mesh for a second radiator circuit, I think for the oil cooler for the single turbo. I believe the Sd6 twin turbo might have both open, with a separate intercooler for each turbo on each side, and the SVX might have both open as well for the coolers necessary for the supercharged V8.
