    2018 Discovery Sd4 (240) HSE Corris Grey

3rd row seat belt retaining clips

Is anyone else noticing how flimsy the retaining clips are that hold the seat belts back out of the way of the loadspace roller cover. Just the slightest touch and the seat belts come out from behind the clips.

1st world problem I know but irritating

Lift the buckles up above the clip, and use them to clamp down against the top of the clip.

They're still Censored , but at least the belts don't pop out so easily.

TBH the retaining clip design seems like an afterthought when so much attention has been paid to almost every other area of the D5, a shame really

I religiously used the plastic things to hold the seatbelts, now I don’t, just can’t be bothered. Doesn’t make any difference tbh.

I haven’t found a solution to the seatbelts using the rubber rear floor mat, without rear aircon. I don’t like the idea of cutting the mat, so the mat curls where the seatbelt webbing is.

It’s the same with the rear airco

Suppose it would be, just annoying.

It would also be nice to have the option of a third row rubber mat. At the moment I use an old
Vauxhall one that I cut with a Stanley knife.

That’s how I ‘secure’ them. They still work loose and fall out though. Always catch the roller blind too.

This gave the best results for me: buckle turned around and in the hole.

LR can’t even get the rear seatbelts right, what hope is there for the rest of the car?

Might as well tie them up with elastic bands or bungies. If it wasn’t for the fact that I might very occasionally use them, normally to split up fighting kids, then I’d remove the things and be done with it.
