    New Android Auto layout

    Now uses the whole screen! Apparently an update on the app, not ICTP. Didn't look like this on Friday, but it did Saturday after an app update.

    So its the same size, just has the clock showing to the side? Mine has no clock showing but is centred.

    The full screen left to right is now occupied, and you get more vertical area because the menu buttons are on the driver's side instead of the bottom. The area to the right where the clock is also shows other info when in maps or music screen - in maps, it shows a music tab. I believe in music it will show nav info but I'm not sure. I'll get some more pictures tomorrow.

    Cool. how did it update? (I dont have a SIM csrd in the car just connect to the phone when driving via the lead)

    It was just an update to the Android Auto app on my phone - normal update as far as I can tell. I'm still on 18C on ICTP.

    What version of the Android Auto app is installed on your phone? It looks like the latest version here in the UK is 4.0.590434 and was released on 15th Feb, so you've probably got an update over there that hasn't rolled out here yet.

    Newbie question - is this the Smartphone pack? My dealer says that's not available on the D5. Or is it bundled in with InControl apps?

    Confirmed working on my vehicle this morning.

    My phone (Samsung Galaxy S9 UK) is still NOT showing the latest Android Auto update.

    So I installed an .apk of v 4.1.590934 from here:
    https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/a...9-release/

    If your unsure about installing from untrusted sources, it's probably best to wait until the update hits Playstore.

    PS: You can use the screen to zoom and pan in this version. Could you before the upgrade?

    You might have to enable 'Developer settings' to get the widescreen output to work.

    To enable the hidden 'Developer settings' do the following:

    - Open the Android Auto App on your phone
    - Chose 'About' from the top left menu.
    - Tap the 'About Android Auto' text at the top about 10x
    - You will see a prompt to enable Developer mode.
    - Now use the top right ellipsis overflow menu to get to Developer settings
    - Select the 1080p option

    That's it.
