Ok Jim, I've had a play and here goes (allow for poetic licence):-
1. Insert your USB device.
2. Go to the audio system
3. Select source and you should have"radio" "USB" & media player" showing.
4. Select settings (2 cogs at the bottom of the screen)
5. Select " media player settings"
6 Bottom right hand option should be "import from media"- select it.
7. USB should show - select it.
8. Touch the folders symbol to see the contents. You can select folders or tracks from here!
9. At the bottom of the screen are two symbols. Select the (tick) to select folders.
10. Select the (tray) symbol to upload
11. Upload appears to be quite quick.
12 return to audio menu, select media player and your albums/tracks should play.
Phew - all done from memory!!!!

None of that is in the manual!!
I was being to doubt it was possible as there is very little information in the Entertainment section of the manual. -

TBH the manual does tell you to go to Media Player Settings however, we get this at work - documents written with "An implied level of knowledge" i.e. The author knows how to find Media Player Settings and expects you to be as smart
