    I use Android Auto all the time, to play Spotify...looks a bit toytown but works well, just tell it what you want to play and it goes off and finds it Smile
    2023 D300 Metropolitan, Hakuba Silver, Low Range, Solar screen, Deployable towbar, FBH, sidesteps.

    I'm confused as to whether my soon to be collected 68 plate will come with this or not...? The dealer has happily allowed me to add the pack at a 10% discount, but I'm unsure if a MY19 would actually have come with it already?

    The Android website says all 2019 LR's are already compatible, so on that basis, I guess not. But does anyone know how you'd check?

    All 19MY should be compatible with carplay and andriod auto however they did not all come out of the factory with this enabled. Smartphone pack was only launched part way through 19MY but all 19MY cars have the capability. If your car didnt come with it from new the dealer can simply plug in and enable the smart phone pack (sounds like thats what they are doing if they are charging you). Im sure I've seen on the forum some people getting it for free (activated) by dealers.

    Thanks for that. I suspect he's trying to claw back some of the money I negotiated off then. Maybe I should cancel it and wait for it to mess up and then get it free later lol.

    TomTom have just updated their GO app on iOS and it’s now got ACP support !

    Finally the best (IMHO) nav app with live traffic and speed camera updates can be used on the cars touch screen.

    (Not tried it yet as SWBO has the car Rolling with laughter )

    I was quoted £200 for it to be installed whilst car was in for service.. decided I wasn't paying that & will just stick with current system.

    I’ve MY17 and upgraded various software versions (painfully by dealer) and now have Apple CarPlay. Have to say it’s like a new car now - not only is the nav software and interface actually useable but CarPlay is pretty good especially on long journeys for messages etc. Couldn’t go back to old JLR apps now and should only get better once iOS 13 out plus JLR enable auto updates on the software.

    New CarPlay in iOS 13 - the beta is a bit buggy but still way better than before as you can now use the iPhone without the screen reverting to the home screen.

    I've got a 2017 First Edition without the SIM card slot.

    Is it just a software update?

    So if you have the HDMI slot it might be possible, if you only have 2 USB’s it’s not
