I use Deezer thru a SIM. The SIM is a 12 GB PAYG on Three. My Deezer account is linked to my incontrol account on the incontrol website. Works well and is a lot neater than CarPlay as phone does not need to be physically plugged in to car.

How does this work? I have a dataSIM and if i click incontrol Apps it asks for a compatible mobile devide to be plugged in. So doesnt seem to work from the car SIM.

So does the car SIM only give you live traffic on maps and nothing else?

    Mordred,

On a lap top:- logo onto your incontrol account- https://incontrol.landrover.com/jlr-portal-owner-web/dashboard

Then click on to ''my account'' then click on ''connected accounts'

Then you have 2 tabs, "Available" and "Connected"

There you add the apps to Live Apps that you want

I think we must need Version 20 though as Spotify does not appear on the Live list in the car.

Live apps are on the second Home screen. Thumbs Up

I don't think you need v20 for this to work as I have 19C and I have the options to use Deezer and Spotify through the Media screens 'Select Source' option after setting up account detail via `the InControl web as outlined previously.

Okay, I did not see Spotify on my Media list but I will logout and login again to see what happens.

I've got 19C and Spotify appears in my list of available accounts.

Is that in the actual car to use or just on the list of apps in your account online?

I can see it is available in my online account, but even if I log in nothing appears in the car.

it is the clunkiest system out there..

    1) go to incontrol my account on the web select spotify and log in
    2) go to live in the LR log in
    3) go to media, source, online media
    4) find spotify and click..
    5) wait why it loads
    6) keep waiting
    7) wait a bit longer
    Cool spotify now shows
    9) click on a song
    10) wait
    11) wait
    12) wait
13 song plays or it doesnt, or everything freezes, or the wipers come on...thats what you pay £60K + for....

The Mrs XC90 has the Spotify App on the screen, just log it and use it...

I love my LR 5 but the tech is utter Censored ... Big Cry

    sorry still being a numpty....

If I click on Incontrol Apps, the car just asks me to plug my phone in, in which case surely I should just use Android Auto to play Spotify if I still need to plug in the phone?

Tried the above and still doesn’t show up in the car - have a MY17 but with 19c software update installed. When go into Live in the car and log in, there is no option for media. If I go to Media, there is no option for online media either, am am somewhat flummoxed by it all Question Question
