    Log in to Maps

Anyone have any ideas why the car always asks me to log in to the navigation every time I use maps? The box is ticked that says to remain logged in, and I have tried unselecting and reselecting it, but I do not stay logged in for the next time I use navigation.

I do not have to log in every time I use the car, but every now and again I do find that I am logged out.

I think after an software update you need to log in again, but I have not worked out what it is linked to.
Maybe after map updates, but I am not sure that is correct without checking the next one.

More likely just one of the "benefits" of owning a JLR product! Rolling with laughter

Spookily enough, it seems to working perfectly now since I posted here!

Might have been something to do with how rarely I was driving it in covid lockdown, just gone back to more frequent use this week.

It doesn't require you to log in every time, but it does seem to log you out randomly despite the "keep me logged in" box being ticked. Very annoying and hasn't improved over the last few updates.

since in the same window it asks for a log in, it also calls me by name, I assume I am already logged in and it's just a poor design. Smile

Sorry to high jack this thread.

I have the same issue, to be fair I’ve never bothered to ever log in but this post prompted me to try.

So I’ve down loaded the JLR route planner ap to my iPhone and registered....but when i try to log in on the phone i get “can’t find vehicle”.

When i try to log in in the car the car says “ error their end”

Now at 53 years old I’m not a 11 year old IT wizard with opposable thumbs, can someone point me in the right direction to get this working,

Then I’ll ask you lot how to update my maps, i have a 68 plate HSE LUX and I’m on the latest 20C i think update.

Does the REMOTE app work on your phone?

Do you have an InControl account set up?

Thanks for the reply and yes to the phone ap.

I think i have an in control account set up ? The dealer did all this when i bought it...how would i know about the in control ap, he was putting e-mail address and pass words in the car when i collected it.

How could i check ? Is there another ap i should down load ?

The REMOTE app allows you to check fuel level, journies, car locked, etc.
If that works you can not be far off from working OK.

    Does that show car location?

The ap does all those things.

When i get in the car and select Nav, it locates the car to outside my house and the car says Hi Duncan.

But it then says log in to the account which it wont do.

I just checked mine and it is essentially doing the same thing, there is a problem at our end try again later. I live in an area with poor 3g signals it may be that, the system has worked in the past as I have a fart of favourites that I created with the route planner app/software . To be honest I tend to use google maps via ACP

I will try again nectar time I am in the village and see what happens

Still having the issues, the car shows where it’s parked when I get in and shows my name, still ask me to log in and then says it’s an issue their end.

Maybe a call to Land Rover assist is in order now.

Just check you can login on a computer to these 2 sites

    https://incontrol.landrover.com/jlr-portal-owner-web/login

    https://www.landrover.here.com/#home/0

If they both work then check your SIM card is working OK?

    otherwise call JLR!!

Both sites log in ok, I’ll check the SIM card later and see if i can get on line, I know the car shows it has good signal on the signal bar.

If not then i guess another cal to JLR.

    Fixed it.

Removed the SIM card re fitted it and it works ... if only other things were that simple.

    Thanks for all the help.
