Rear e diff oil change
Hello All,
My D5 has now done approx 45000km, and I want to do a diff oil change to make sure they are all good.
I have done it on the D3, RRS and D2 that I previously had, but I have not found a guide on here how to do it.
I have ordered the special oil since I have the rear e-diff, but can anyone tell me if it is a fill to overflow or purely on quantity?
If it is purely on quantity... How much do I put back in?
Thanks for your help.
Nick

For E-Diff:
Its fill to base of filler hole.
Approx 1.2L Castrol BOT 720 fluid.
30nm to tighten both plugs.

Thanks!!
Are you sure that it is Fill to overflow?
Just that I read somewhere (but cannot find it) that it is Fill by Volume and not to overflow.
Does anyone by any chance the maintenance manual for this?

It’s just a dribble from base of filler hole.

Ok... That is what I thought from when I did my D3, RRS and D2.
I was just concerned because I have read on the D3 site that for the e-diff it is by measurement and not just till it dribbles out.
Since I have not had a vehicle with the e-diff before, I wanted to check before making an expensive mistake.
