The issue with the sim card seems like you may have a dodgy sim card reader, I have had two replaced on mine as they are a little fragile.

Just an update. We got out android auto working. I had the "Land Rover Incontrol Apps" app installed on my phone and i think it was trying to use that instead of Android Auto. Once i un-installed the Land Rover App from my phone it worked!!
The first time you use Android auto/ACP it warns you that by doing so will stop Land Rovers incontrol app working which is fine.
Hopefully this helps you too

Update
Dealer has diagnosed a failed central panel and is going to replace it - hopefully all will be well then!

USB/SIM card panel all replaced and now all functioning perfectly. Just goes to prove that its not always a software issue and sometimes its worth pushing a hardware issue!

Great news Nick!
Also just goes to show how almost any component is shoddy enough to fail, along with the software 😂

Hey Siri
So ACP now working
but I'm wondering if the voice control for Siri should be activated by the voice control switch on the steering wheel. Mine doesn't but I don't know if its supposed to be like that or only accessed through pressing the home button on the screen.

Ah, I like to keep my phone out of the way in the cubby box - probably can't hear me in there.
Have to find another spot!

I keep my phone on the center console tray, and “Hey Siri” works just fine, even while playing music.

I am from another age and refuse to ask directions, (don't need to with gps anyway). but I will not give into SIRI, reminds me of Marvin getting annoyed at automatic doors in the Hitch Hikers Guide.
Happy new year btw

Well said that man. In fact the whole Infotainment system is pretty redundant with me. Us Dinosaurs have to stick together.
