What I can’t seem to understand is why Landrovertec can’t program this into the current software - surely it’s not impossible?
I'm sure there are some usability and reliability problems they are trying to iron out before releasing anything. Hardware is all there for it from my understanding.
Honestly I don't think it's that big a deal to connect it to a wire, but that's me. I'm just happy my large Samsung Note 20 fits on my new MY22's wireless pad.
From other forums I understand that there is a noticeable loss in quality.
Any feed back from users?

Was wondering when they’d get round to it. Doesn’t help they’ve changed platform on the new Y21 models. We’ll probably never get this as an update as it’s been around as a possibility since IOS 9 I believe.
The joli solution looks much better, cable connection for sound quality and easy to use by the look of it.
I think I will get one for my new Sport that is on order.

Have wireless CarPlay built into my current BMW, one of the items I’ll miss. It shouldn’t lower sound quality or be laggy. As far as I can tell the car and phone initially communicate over Bluetooth to let them know both are near each other, then they connect together using a WiFi connection. Hence high bandwidth to have the screen update quickly and great sound quality.
My iPhone looks to connect to a HotSpot called something like BMW CarPlay if I remember right. That’s separate from the normal WiFi Hotspot in the car so basically it has two. I imagine it might need specific hardware to do this which the car doesn’t have.
