Yet to get my car but this is of course a worry, do new Disco's have a protector that's suitable for this or a third party option really is the way to go? If so what's recommended?

2022 Discovery SDV6 HSE Carpathian Grey

Yes, the new car will have a protector plate but it is no where near as secure as Ray's plate. I actually have the RLC plate on underneath the LR plate for a double layer of protection (although the LR plate probably doesn't add much above the RLD plate alone).

MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
    MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price!

2019 Discovery SDV6 HSE Lux Carpathian Grey

I’m the same, RLC plate with the LR plate inside it. The RLC plate appears far more secure than the factory one.

Sorry, but your previous post didn’t make much sense and I was trying to read it. I think full stops and capitals were missing and that made it challenging and no I am not the grammar police. Thumbs Up
