    In Control Route Planner

About twice a year I go to use the Route Planner App, trying to log in on iPhone and iPad this week they both say “There was a problem, check the email again”.

    Subscriptions valid until December 2025 - I think….

    Anyone else having this issue?

Got into my account and route planner fine on PC...I also could sign into the phone app as well on my Android phone...although I can't use the route planner app on my phone or update my maps until I stick a data sim in the car...same with signing into the nav menu on the car, it won't let me use wifi or link to my phone when I try to sign in.

To be fair, besides registering and creating an account on the Land Rover EMEA site...I've never used the onboard Nav at all.

Besides having the faff about of buying a data sim for the car which I'll probably never use, I'm too used to Google maps through Android Auto...the voice recognition is several leagues better than the LR onboard software... which has issues with my Highland accent...where as Google doesn't Laughing

I'll just stick with the "Welcome, Mole. Please sign into your account." on the Nav screen...at least the Bling Barge knows who I am and doesn't really care about my accent Wink

Voice recognition software in Scotland? Absolute madness. Shocked

Good luck - perhaps I should try it, but never used anything but Apple Maps (or occasionally Google Maps) since the car was about a month old. Just find the LR sat nav so dingy to look at.

Used the route planner app only yesterday without issue. Synced to car no problem. Actually quite impressed if truth be told.

Mole could have the answer, perhaps the data SIM has run out. I got one of those two year ones from Argos. Will have to check later…..

Sometimes handy to sit away from the car and plot a route to your next destination… if it works!

I only use it to plot the route and send it to the car but yes the App is not the best.

Thank you for checking. It’s looking like the Data SIM has expired…..

    Update

Have obtained a new SIM and installed OK. Still can’t log in to the Route Planner App though I can through a browser so email and password all OK.

Just phoned JLR, spoke to Jordan and was cut off before she could look at at 😡. Phoned back, got another operative who informed me that the Route Planner has been discontinued. Explained that someone on this Forum had logged in no problem a few days ago and she stuck to her guns, it has been discontinued and there is nothing I can do about it…… another unhappy customer…..
