Hi hope somebody can help, i have recently upgraded to a 2025MY Disco from a Disco 4 and my camera doesn't seem to zoom in when hitching up to a trailer, i select reverse camera comes on i select towing and the line changes to a single line from the tow ball, i reverse to the hitch but no zoom when i get close, the manual says it should, the disco 4 you could touch the screen and options came up to turn things like that on and off but i cannot find that, any ideas?

It should automatically zoom when 600mm from the hitch in towing mode with MY25 and Pivi pro …yes.
In earlier models with surround cameras I believe there was a feature to turn the zoom off in the rear camera menu.
But if you’ve got the single line it’s in the right mode.
Couple of method queries….
Does it happen when reversing towards say a wall (not just trailer hitch) in tow mode?
Have you tried different approach speeds?
Beyond those….. there were some software issues I read, with this feature that required updates .
May need software reinstall/update?
Unlikely …but is the camera alignment slightly off?
Worth getting a diagnostic on the camera module for errors?
Is it a deployable or fixed towball? Just wondered if it’s deployable if there is something in the wiring??
i haven't tried the reversing towards the wall, will give it a go tonight, might also try low range as well, it is the electrically deployable tow bar, so might try with it deployed and not deployed.
i haven't tried different speeds, just a steady slow crawl.
The car is ex Land rover and the tow hitch had never been used so a software issue is probable, so a trip to the dealers is most likely,

Yeah …the wall idea is just a bigger field of view in case the camera isn’t “seeing” properly…..please don’t try a faster approach speed on that one
I was sat in Tesco carpark this morning while the boss went in for a couple of items. I had the tow ball deployed so I switched to tow mode and reversed back toward the car in the bay behind…..camera zoomed in immediately …so not hitch dependant.
Update, been to the dealers today and no joy, they tried to tell me I might not have hitch assist and got a salesman involved, when he realized I have the towing package and advanced towing pack he said it should have hitch assist. They had another 74 plate D350 there with tow ball so we tried that, which also didn’t zoom in.
Does anyone else have an issue with this on a 25 MY or does everyone else’s work?
Can’t believe they would remove something which helps so much, I feel there must be a sub menu somewhere that toggles this on and of but damned if I can find it.

And in case anyone was curious about the strange “vehicles” to the left of the bin….my water wagons.
Caravan waste water tanks with permanent long reach drainpipes in lieu of watering cans during the hosepipe ban. Fill 50L from tap and wheel to remote borders, stand it on end for required watering time and move to next dehydrated area…..saves a lot of walking back and forth with 6L watering cans.
That looks like InControl screen, wonder if the zoom was only on the Incontrol screen as it was smaller, and Pivi Pro doesn't zoom? Would certainly be better if it zoomed.
