Because it's a dealer and all they see is 💷💷💷

Try Dan@duckworths, he's a forum sponsor so may be able to do you a good price on the parts.

    Hi,
    The answer is:-

Because you can't offset the cost of the tow bar crossmember with the blank one that's already fitted.

The same applies to the rear tow cover, but you should end up with a pile of leftover bits.

The price includes fitting, which could have been done as part of the build on the line by the build team, same goes for the software config which would have been part of the original config, PLUS you have pay the Dealers team to take off all the original bits before they can start "fitting".

Dan@Duckworths will supply the hardware at a reduced price - but you still have to get all the other stuff done.

Don't know if this help warrant that cost, but here is at least one set of instructions as to how its done and whats involved.

Seems like the parts themselves must cost a few bucks.
