    Text message read out.

    Anyone else got the car to notify you when a text message comes in and then get it to display on the screen? Any info appreciated please.
    Namib Orange 1st Edition with black roof and wheels.
    Privacy, tow bar, drive pack, surround camera, heated front & rear seats, auto dim door mirrors, side steps, remote Pro, RSE, arm rest fridge dash cam front and rear.

    Doing some research and I can't find anything regarding text messages for the Incontrol Pro cars (HSE upwards) but here is a couple of screen shots of the standard Incontrol system, you'll see it has message option in the phone menu.

    I can't believe the all singing all dancing system doesn't have the text readout option.

    Apple and Android text message display isn't supported by Incontrol Pro but windows phones can be configured to work.

    Info from LR Incontrol FAQs

    Seems odd as Apple and Android are by far the most popular phones and Pro being the flagship system should have this as standard as even my DS in 2015 could display texts.

    Looks like we should all be raising this with the dealers as the higher spec cars should have this as well

    I'm amazed that LR opted not to make it compatible with the two most common phones.

    I am so fed up of listening to my text being read out on my lowly SE. Laughing Laughing

    I have to laugh when there are some emoji's inserted. and they read those out.
