    Winter Tyres

    It is getting near that time over here to fit the mandatory winter tyres. There do not seem to be many options; Pirelli Scorpion Winter Tire being one 255/55R20

    Anyone got any other ideas?

    I've ordered Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV in 255/55R20 with Fast Wheel Thunder rims

    I was also given the Bridgestone Blizzak DMV2 option but i'm not a fan of the Blizzak.

    Michelin Latitude Alpin LA2

    Ordered the Continental WinterContact TS850 P SUV 255/60 R19 XL 113V with the original 19" rims together, but they do have 255/55 R20 110 V XL size

    In my Discovery5 are also approved the 255/60 R19 113V tires. Continental has a winter tire of this size: I think I will come off from the 22 "to 19"

    It took a month to get but i finally have them.
    First the Nokians were back ordered then the wheels ordered were not the correct size. My tyre guy's fault and then blaming the ordering website for not having the D5 in the choices. I went with size, not what the website considers as proper for my D5.

    Then they sent the wrong hub size (too big) and wanted him to install centering rings...no !

    I've had to brighten up the image when taking the pictures or you could barely see the details in the wheels, they are so dark and not much sunlight these days. So the red isn't really that hue.











    Now bring on the snow !

    And i will most probably draw and get laser cut a piece with the Land Rover logo to replace the protruding dome in the middle of the wheel.

    I have to mock it up first and see what it will look like and if i like it i will get it cut.

    LR wheels are more than 3x the price of the Fastwheels Thunder.

    And my Nokians are *still* backordered. Somehow my tire shop got two of them, but the other two are backordered.... Mad
