Car / Home security options
With the impending arrival of my new D5 tomorrow my mind has understandably turned to making sure the new car stays on the drive.
Would welcome any recommendations for steps people have taken to protect your D5’s, thinking tracker, camera, bollards etc
Thanks

Lock it in the garage and keep the keys safe, CCTV and a few other things

The first thing I'm going to do when I collect my D5 is ensure that the keys are nowhere near where the car will be parked overnight. I started a thread a while back about thieves using signal enhancers to open and start the car which was a rather worrying prospect. The thread is here

interesting if it is possible to switch off keyless door opening, but keep the keyless start?
I would prefer to open/close the car with the keyfob, then put in the pocket and start driving.

Thanks, good tip, exactly what I wanted to ask my dealer. Cool that I can do it without them.

In the house, a small biscuit tin or tea caddy made of tin will suffice to totally block the transmissions of the key fob - has to be steel/ tin with a lid to work though.
