Once you pull down on the red locking lever to gain access to that torx bolt (the one that goes click when you tighten it), undoing the bolt fully will push the clamps apart so the bars just lift off ...

You could try bleeding the system, it might have been an airlock... loosening the bleed screw on top of the front cross-over pipe should let you know if there's air in the system.
