Pivi Pro with Connected Navigation
One specification change, from MY23 to MY23.5 was that Pivi Pro became Pivi Pro with Connected Navigation.
Have I discovered what that means?
I've recently spent a couple of days with Land Rover at Eastnor Castle, a location which is almost devoid of any mobile/cell phone coverage. When heading home, I entered the destination into Pivi, and it did absolutely nothing. Without a data connection, Pivi appeared unable to access maps to generate the route, suggesting that the system does without an offline map database.
The route was generated after setting off, having driven into an area with a coverage. This got me thinking. I imagine the same would happen, if setting a destination, when parked in an underground car park.
Are all Pivi systems like this, or is this another cost saving and retrograde spec change?

Mine can do basic searches e.g. postcode while off-line but needs a data connection for complex look-up e.g. finding individual businesses, what3words etc.

Interesting... we spend a lot of time in rural France, and when we're over there I don't use CarPlay (which I love) because the inbuilt sat-nav on mine (pre-privi) works when there's no internet connection. Would be a real shame if that feature is missing in the new versions.

Mine a MY21 with the new 3.0 diesel engine seems to work fine with r without coverage as far as I can see
Namib Orange 1st Edition with black roof and wheels.
Privacy, tow bar, drive pack, surround camera, heated front & rear seats, auto dim door mirrors, side steps, remote Pro, RSE, arm rest fridge dash cam front and rear.
