    Apple CarPlay not available

    Hi all
I had apple car play working fine (ie according to LR standards- some times better then others but overall OK)
Since couple of weeks get the message “Apple car play not available“. Am on the latest SW, have unplugged and replugged with different cables

Anyone encountered the same and/or has tips and tricks?

    Tx

Have you tried a restart/re-boot of your iPhone?

When my iPhone is not charged to at least 20%-30%, then CarPlay will not work correctly. It then loses connection and reconnects constantly every few minutes (or even seconds) which is quite annoying.
If the phone is fully charged, no problems.
It's an iPhone 11 Pro with original Apple Lightning cable.
So for me the solution is to charge the phone before any longer journey. And if not, I use the other USB socket (without media) in the center console to charge the phone, but then I'll have listen to Spotity over Bluetooth...

The only time Apple CarPlay didn't work for me was when I bought a shorter cable which wasn't Apple branded. Went back to an Apple cable and all is ok.

Have you tried another USB port? Other than that confirm the settings on the Infotainment system for CarPlay and on iOS. Since iOS 13 security changes you need to unlock your phone to connect over USB (unless you change the settings).

Would also go into CarPlay on iOS and remove the pairing - thus allowing you to pair it to the vehicle again (which might solve the issue).
