  If it was just me hearing it I might agree.
  But it’s been heard by passengers (some without prompting) and even the garage technicians have heard it and agree it’s not right,….sufficient for them to throw quite a few quid at the problem in parts and labour.
  
  Footnote:
  Well the garage rang to say they have yet again failed to stop the noise.
  The chief technician was really frustrated when he test drove the car as he felt the fix would do the business. Another £1200 of parts added to the car are causing serious discussion as to where to go now.
  
  In truth, I think the noise is reduced a tad, so it does seem to me they are working in the right area.
  
  Short of sending the car to JLR for the sound experts to tackle (which in fairness the dealer said he will ask about that option) both I and the dealer are reaching the point of ‘enough is enough’.
  
  UntilI I can change the vehicle I will have to resort to playing the radio louder when driving slowly.
