"Smart" Navigation
So, there I was bragging to my wife how, with the SIM installed, we basically get a built in version of Waze with real time dynamic traffic management etc, so we ignore the multiple signs on the M25 on Sunday advising that the M3 is closed (they haven't updated the matrix boards, said I). We get to the M3 junction, and it's closed. How can the system not know a friggin motorway is closed. I looked like a total tool, and now I don't trust my new whizz bang infotainment system any more. What a load of rubbish! The only feeble excuse I could come up with was, as the motorway is closed, it can't track slow traffic so it just thinks nobody is using that route. Shouldn't it be a bit more intelligent than that? Grrrrrrr!!!!!

I think that was a snafu with the TMC system. Even Google maps didn't pick up on the closure initially.
I drove to Thiefrow yesterday, and on Sunday evening the App was sending me via Wentworth, so it was working fine then.

LR don't have a good reputation with sat navs and Incontrol Pro has been trouble in every JLR product that uses it, but the standard Incontrol sat nav system in mine has so far worked pretty well.

These systems are designed to avoid heavy traffic. Don't really work when there is no traffic at all...
Does anybody know on what system the LR navigation's traffic data is based on?
Happy though that I didn't order it, I just didn't trust it

No idea what it is using but I have a local road that is flowing one moment and then grinds to a halt.
To be fair within a minute or so it will go from green to red on the display.
