Locking without alarm
I've been advised to 'turn off vehicle alarm' for the duration of the voyage
see
https://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/faq/tra...ff-onboard
Anyone know how to do this? As far as I know once it's locked the alarm is activated. I'm damned if I'm going to leave it unlocked during the crossing.to Spain !!

One push single locking
Opertae the key fob button once locks the doors and leaves the interior alarm turned off. The alarm would still sound if doors, bonnet or boor were openened.
The same can be done by touching the door handle once if you have keyless entry/exit

In the vehicle settings menu you can disable the tilt sensor between ignition cycles. IE it’s activated again after you start the car up again. This is still active on a single lock and a ferry in rough seas would still trigger the alarm.

Having done a lot of ferry crossings in Scotland I would advise you get a good handle on how to do this. Nothing more annoying than a boat full of car alarms going off when you've made the mistake of choosing a cheap cabin!
The single press will be fine for short crossings and in the D4 it was also ok for rougher seas. The D5 is a lot more sensitive so disabling the tilt sensor is a must.

Oh emergency locking. Seems a faff and those key hole covers are prone to falling off if messed with too much (or sometimes all of their own accord).
