    Login in via your browser to InControl Route Planner at https://landrover.here.com

    Click on to the Maps and Services tab on the far right

    That will take you to a page listing all the maps for the World

    You should see Europe & Russia Map listed first.

    It will also show you when your subscription ends and the price of the other regions.

    Click on the black “Get latest Version” and that will start the LR download manager.

    It will require a FAT32 USB stick to be available and a minimum size of 32 GB

    The latest map requires 22.2 GB

    Then sit back while it copies all the necessary files to the stick.

    Insert the USB stick in one of the slots under the armrest and the process will start automatically and you need to be on the navigation screen.

    Just follow the onscreen instructions and mine took about 20 minutes.

    The navigation system restarts and you are finished. It will "see" the USB stick again and ask to update, but just press cancel.

    Hi Jim,

    Great write up. How did you know a map was available. I downloaded 24 gig I think it was for Australia maps only to find out it was same version. I can't recall but i did manage to find the map version on the car. Is this how you knew. Just curious.

    The Europe one is updated every 3 months and so I just look at the site around that time.
    The Europe map has gone from 67 to 70 to 73, so I am assuming just that pair of digits change for simple updates.

    Is the Car USB 3 & if so is t best to buy a new USB 3 stick, mine is 2

    Hi Jim, just ordered a USB 3 (needed a bigger capacity anyway) will let you know if if beats 20 minutes.


    Edit: 8/9 mins with a USB 3 .... nothing to write home about, but needed a larger one so happy.

    The icon on the USB port is for USB 3 so assume it is Wink

    Map now includes the funky new ‘drive through’ island on the A40 heading into Gloucester from the M5. Good see maps are properly updated in a regular basis. Thumbs Up
