    Valet mode disables tailgate?

    As far as I can tell, enabling the Valet mode disables the tailgate from inside or outside. Maybe there is an override for this I haven't found yet, but that seems a bit odd for something one might use at a hotel if handing over the car. Which is exactly what happened to me yesterday when we couldn't get the luggage out after I had engaged the feature. Smile

    This is the same as the RRS2 - I thought the tailgate had broken at first until I remembered valet was on. However it only stops the 'motorised' tailgate. You can still open it manually which rather seems to defeat the purpose.

    well. now that I've actually RTFM, it clearly states "Valet mode allows the vehicle to be driven and locked by a parking attendant, without giving access to the loadspace and glovebox."

    So I guess I'll think of it now as a restaurant valet mode and not a hotel valet mode. Wink
