Driving through the Eurotunnel
Hi,
Has anyone been on the Eurotunnel train with their D5?
I have always taken my Range Rover Sport on in the double deck carriage and been OK.
The limit according to Eurotunnel is 1.85 metres and the height of a D5 is 1.888 at Standard Ride Height. as opposed to 1.803 for the Sport.
Maybe I should edit my booking and go on the full height carriage?.

Taken mine a couple of times. I go for the higher option as I don't think it costs any more. I think it's peak summer time that they tend to use the double decks more?

I always use the higher vehicle sections too. Less claustrophobic too.
The Dimensions on the ICTP screen state 1.888 as Access Height and the Normal height is 1.9'ish I think and includes the roof antenna.
Anyone know the exact Access height figure as it seems to vary depending on what manual (paper, web), iGuide or specs on the website you read and also the car itself.

That is what I discovered, which one is right?
Anyway I have just called them and changed to the high one.
I do not fancy being the one who checks it out against that solid metal bar!!

The D3 could just sneak under the bar at Access Height.

It will go through the low one on access height but it is very tight
