Did voice control work for sat nav pre software update?
Infortainment was upgraded last week and now I can set destinations via voice control which is very useful. But not sure if it's always been like that?

Yes, as my the other thread that I responded to, prior to the phase 3.5 upgrade voice control worked perfectly.
It seems like you never get everything working as it should at the sane time! Perhaps we should ask for a refund on that basis

Sorry to disagree but i have not been upgraded yet and there are no voice control commands for sat nav. there was on my RRS but not on the Disco.

Sorry I misread the thread.
I’ve just checked and there’s definitely no voice control for any navigation control.
I used to have this on my previous D4s and used it quite a bit for zoom control, route overview and alternate route but alas the D5 does have any of this, shame!
However not voice controlled but I miss the motorway juntion and services display which really needs to be added to the manoeuvres portion of the route display.

Yes 100% voice on D4 was very good and the display was better.

So it looks like we get it when you have the infotainment upgrade.
I've only played it with briefly, but you can say "take me home" or "destination home: and it sets your Home destination etc. But I don't think it works by saying "Destination RH20 4FF" etc.

Can any one clarify that you should be able to use voice control for the navigation or not?
And if you can what should you be able to do?🤔
My 18 doesn’t seem to have any voice control for the navigation??
Just for phone and media,did the latest map update yesterday too,

With about a 90% success rate I can say:
"Take me home"
"Navigate to home"
And it will set the home destination.
But have tried things like "Navigate to London Road Pulborough" and it doesn't work...
Anyone done anything different other than Home??
Waze App Voice Control works brilliantly. Why can't we have Apple Car Play so Waze could be used....

Well spoke to stealers yesterday they said that voice control is Not available for navigation?
This is bizarre as had it on my16 disco 4 but nothing on MY18!??
Apparently my software is all up to date as are my maps, must say everything else works as it should.
Was it just earlier software that had this function?

My 18my SE with incontrol touch pro has voice control for the Sat nav as delivered from the factory, so I suggest that yours is not working correctly

Have you looked at the list of commands from the Voice menu in the car, now my car is fixed I have quite a few?
