so lets see what happens..
it went in yesterday for a "software upgrade and Oil and filter change" .:
now saying: 10K miles to next service
4215 total on the clock.
Just finally got round to looking at Topix free, stating that N222 is an outstanding campaign?
Can anyone advise does it take a while to sync or does that mean its not been done?

Can take upto a week to show on topix, depends how quick dealer is at updating the system.

Mines booked in tomorrow at Farnell in Bolton for its second oil and filter in 5 months with only 5400 miles on the clock
Just had the call to say that LR do not cover the oil and filter change anymore 🤬🤬
But as my car has the service plan it will be ok and there will be no charge
Cheeky gets has anyone else been told this

I was told this, I then escalated my dissatisfaction by calling JLR Customer service....
What an absolute waste of time that was ! basically they were singing off the same song sheet as the dealer as they had handed the song sheet to the dealer told the dealer, I drove to my dealer and handed them the service book, log book and both sets of keys. They then begged me to keep it and asked that i give them one last chance to rectify the issue.
That was a few months ago, I've diven 1,700 miles and the meileage is showing 5,400 to next service,

i did question it when mine went in and they said no of course theres no charge its a recall/warranty issue.
we shall see...

MY17 are without question covered. A quickish search on line reveals SCN JLRP00100 available for download via another forum. I have relocated a copy at the below link

It reads to me as if LR think they can changes some words in some brochure somewhere rather than actually fix the problem....
I do not beleive there is anything similar for my18, except for possibly a statement from LR to the dealers to indicate they will perhaps cover the first premature oil change as good will. (I am not stating this as fact just a view/belief from what I've read/heard.)

I 'm afraid most of the MY17 are out of the scope of the original JLRP00100, IIRC it states the purchase date to be in March 2017 or earlier for the car to be eligible for the free oil change on its basis. March 2017 is when the D5 went on sale IIRC and MY17 lasted well into january 2018. Unless there was an amendment of that bulletin, most of MY17s are left in the cold atm as the N222 currently only applies to MY18.
