MY19 most likely has the N222 patch applied when it comes out of the factory. Unless they changed the exhaust system and put an injector on the DPF to clean it instead of dumping in extra fuel in the engine?
Well, according to the workshop manual it is. Here's the top end of the page too, published in 2016 so I would think this applies to all TDV6 engines, MY17+18.
So, thesis setup should get hot enough for a decent regen, ‘avoiding’ the oil dilution and keeping the service interval more or less on track. But we know that even for the MY18 this is not really the case.
Am I missing something?
Could be, although this N222v3 patch still has to convince me that it works. Not impressed with it so far, but only a few 100km done to compare, so still hoping for the best!
Hi mine had n222 software update done in October oil service reset to 16000 miles I've done 2300 miles and says 11500 to next oil service so I reckon I'm going to get half the mileage for oil service about 8000 miles got it booked in at dealers to confirm then it could be getting rejected mine is a my18
So not really any different to a 2017, as mine did 6000 and said a service was 1000 miles away, dealer did it whilst sorting out all other stuff they hadn't done before i got it in september.
So only safe purchase is a 2019 model with SD6 engine then
I assume in the 350 miles since its not tried a regen as the miles have only dropped by 300 so far
