That’s not where you have to look for the version. Go to ‘All settings’, so not the navigation settings, and then ‘software updates’ and then you should see your version:
However, I had a look at the way you tried and found a different version, for the app indeed.
mine had 18D installed last week, Android Auto works, fine, blue tooth works fine, Spotify through incontrol apps works fine....fingers crossed.....
when they did the upgrade, did they keep your settings intact or reset to factory?
the settings as far as I can see are intacts, same radio stations, same bluethooth, same hotspot password (as in if I hotspot my phone and connect car to it) same regular destinations. Just very different shreens and manu's and the addition of Android and Apple as items on the menu
My car is in at the dealer for the 18D update, but they have called to say the update has screwed the Telematics unit and the vehicle is now disabled! LR are shipping the dealer a new unit.
Does anyone know what exactly the telematics unit does. I presume its the tracker!
Well I couldn't find anyone who got it already. One of the guys of the "LR Discovery 5 Owners Group" on Facebook got his D5 back today with Phase 4.18D done (today). So maybe the release is pending? My appointment is on February 4th, so I can tell you probably on February 5th or 6th if they did install Phase 5 on my vehicle.

The telematics unit is the ECU that provides the emergency call (ecall) and breakdown (bcall) functions (buttons on the front over head console). It also provides the remote functions and tracker functionality. Basically thats the item that connects the vehicle to the outside world (internet etc).
We are currently seeing a large amount of issues and have decided to suspend updates to 18D. We will reassess when 19A is released shortly and advise when updates can commence again.
I had it applied three weeks ago, have screen freezes, remote start / remote heater issues, it works fine then doesnt, have also lost upload music to memory options and rear seat heating control from the touch screen. JlR seem to be useless at simple coding and development to production for tech..
I hope mine doesn't start playing up too (though it did refuse to boot the other day and didn't get further than the LR Logo). Agree there is a distinct lack of quality control for LR's InControl system.

DD, do you have the newer interface? Three panel monochrome style or the original colourful one (with telephone box pic for phone?).
If the former, tap the Settings cog, select all settings, and then the bottom menu item which is software updates or seonthing... can't quite remember. Then check for updates - this will list the InControl system version. Current latest is 18D.
If you have the latter then you are on the old system still.
