Blue Parking Assist - Assistance Please
Hello
My D5 has now been in the dealer for 7 weeks looking at why my Parking Assist turns itself off when you go over 20mph and never comes back on, or turns itself off when the engine is cut and never turns back on.
Having had 7 courtesy cars, 3 of them D5's in this period i think it is related to the latest car play update.
The Evoque and RRS i had all work as i expected. The Dealers D5 i had worked as expected, the other D5 running the latest Apple Car Play update do not work and have the same symptoms as mine.
Can anyone help me prove this theory?
Thanks

I would take down the software version numbers for each car first to either prove or disprove this theory. Would you have these?

The dealer can prove that theory.
Look at the software version in the loaner, then upgrade it and see if it stops working.
If it does stop then the dealer needs to send that info to JLR.

Does it only fail if you are using car play, or just because you have the update?

Hi
Unfortunately i only put 2 and 2 together once the vehicle has gone back, although i could note down the current loaner.
No, you dont need to be using car play, just be at a compatible version.
Thanks

The theory should still apply if you can access , say a Sport that works as it is the same software across the vehicles.
I use to have a Sport and still post on that forum, the problems that I have had with Incontrol have also bugged the Sport models.

Apparently JLR have admitted this is a problem with not just my vehicle.
I am keen to hear if anyone running the very latest version has parking assist working as it should?
Thanks

What exactly do you mean by Park Assist?
Do you mean the "self park" or the system where it will reverse a trailer (but I thought that was called trailer assist)?
