2019 Discovery SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

During the regeneration cycle, the start/stop feature is disabled.

Update: I have now 16.000kms / 9942 miles and still the car says it is 13.000 kms to next service.
Maybe my car was manufactured wrongly, but I haven't experienced ANY of the issues listed in this forum. Really, not a single one. I needed to make up issues to get he infotainment updates free of charge Wink

So, after reading the whole thread it would appear that the dreaded issue has largely been addressed, This is welcome news as it really is the only issue that I have with my MY18 D5.

Thanks for the continued input from all who have posted their findings.

Based on positive feedback from all with the 2019 SDV6 model, I made my decision to order last week (25th Jan). I'll be glad to give feedback when mine arrives and I've got my fingers very firmly crossed Exclamation

But your signature says it is a MY17 ? MY18 can be fixed.

Just bringing this thread back up, I posted earlier about mine using half a gauge of oil.

Currently my car is on 4328 miles and asking for oil service in 8850.

    That’s about 13,000 miles in?

Re the distance to service, I wouldn't read too much into it. If you do low mileage, it reduces the mileage left by 16000/12 each month. So after 6 months of no use, the readout would show 8000 left, if you see what I mean. Mine showing no oil usage as yet, at nearly 7000 miles (in 18 months).

Regarding Oil use, I have noticed that my 2017 D5 td6 does use a small amount of oil.

After a service, the oil level is marked as being FULL, and is does slowly go down to the middle, but it then seems to stay there. I don't have to refill between services.

Just for info, my D5 DID have the N211 update done, even though it is a 2017 model, and the service interval is almost spot on.

I had my first service done a few thousand KMs early, and it is saying that the next service is perfectly when it should be.

I am with you too, I have a 2017 TD6, it gets to about halfway on oil level between services. After N241 adblue update it comfortably does 16000 miles between services.

My latest posted. I'm taking mine to 10k between changes...my local dealer service rep said he didn't think that would be a problem. Says he has some customers who just ignore it and come in on schedule vs. when it tells them to. Note almost all of these (I think except one) were taken when the vehicle called for an oil service.

EDIT - BTW, the "Universal Averages" column is for all Land Rover vehicles with a Td6 engine this lab has sampled from. So mine is in general doing pretty well.

My MY19 is saying it needs a service in 900 miles, its only done 7300 miles and is 9month old. I'm wondering, is it thinking the oils diluted? since lock down its hardly budged just the odd <1m trip here and there, it started two weeks ago saying service due in 2800 miles but its dropped fast over the course of a few short trips.

It's probably just recalculating based on your current miles per month. If the service is due in 3 months time based on a 12 month service interval and you're currently driving 300 miles per month then it will show 900 miles to the next service.

Thanks it might well be, it's probably not going to do more than 30miles a month for the rest of the year as i have agreed to work from home until jan.
